R.I.P Bun-Bun
15 years, 11 months & 5 days ago
19th Jan 2009 16:30 Sadly, on January 10th, 2009, my pet rabbit died.
Her name was Bun-Bun. She was a calm, sweet bunny who loved to play.
Your may think it was ust a rabbit, but she was special.
Everytime I would look at her, she would pop her head out of her cage and kiss me when she greeted me.She would put her little fuzzy nose on my lips, then pop back into her cage.
When I talked to her, she would sit and listen like I am the grandparent telling a bed time story, and she was the grandchild eager to hear.
She loved dogs. LOVED them. Weird huh? When I had my German Shepard, she would kiss the dogs throught the cage, while the dogs sniffed her. She had no fear, she thought they were just her friends.
Things she loved:
-Being out on the lawn
- Playing with dogs
- Eating bananas, and other fruits
- Being held like a baby.
Whenever my mom would buy a bunch of bananas, she would always ask me where they all went.Little did she know the rabbit was having a ball eating them. Everytime I would go to her cage and unwrap a banana, she would perk up and get excited, knowing she would get a good treat.
She would Take big bites of that banana, scarfing it down.
She wasnt just any old rabbit, she was my little furry chubby pal, my little fuzzy monster.
I would even sometimes call her Slippers, because of the poofy fur that looked like "afros" on her feet.
When she was close to dying, it was obvious.
I kept her out of the cage with me all day.My dog was concerned, and kept by her side, while I tried to cheer her up with a banana, and petting her.
But my efforts failed.
She was weak, couldnt sit straight, slowed breathing, couldnt walk without tripping, and was very upset.
My dog even gingerly rubbed her paw on her head, hoping she would feel better.
But sadly, that night she died.
My brother found her in her cage, curled up, as if she was sleeping, but only this time she was in a long sleep, that would never end.
I was with her through thick in thin. From the time of her surgery when she was hurt, to playing in the yard, to her time of dying.
I wont soon forget my little furry friend.
I will miss the fast but soft puffing of her exited self breathing, or even her getting up and greeting me when I see her, or the curious way she would stand on her hind legs, while scouting the yard.
As a small tribute to my beloved BunBun, Im collecting Love sindi plushies, and also trying to turn my pet BunBunn into a Love sindi.
I have some of her best moments, showing her big personality on my lookup.
Here is to Bun-Bun, May you rest in peace.
