Here is what I have of Dreaming Insanity so far.

Dreaming Insanity

The stone road leading up to the cottage was a long road. It was a lonely walk to my, Peach Gazelle Parker, home. All of my family, except for my grandmother, was dead. They all died when I was young. My mom died shortly after I was born into the world. My dad died when I was five, of the Spanish influenza epidemic. I wasn???t touched by it. If I was, would I still be here today?
???Peach? Are you here? I heard you open the door.??? My grandmother seemed to be clueless about everything. She was blind and has been since I was eight. I am fifteen now.
???Yes, I???m here Grandmother. What do you want me to cook for you???? I asked.
???I would like to have some chicken and dumplings.??? She said.
I started cooking them, and 20 minutes later, a food that looked so bad it made me lose my appetite, was ready.
???Grandmother! Your food is ready.??? She came into the kitchen wobbly, like usual, and I guided her to the table so she wouldn???t fall down.
???Thank you deary. How was work at the tailor store today? Did any one come in???? She said.
I had to think for a minute before I could answer.
???Yes, two people came in today. One of those needed a suit, the other a dress. The customers were Mr. Albine and Mrs. Bloxy.??? I told her.
My stomach grumbled. I didn???t want to eat the chicken and dumplings, but I had to. I spooned out some and it spilled into my porcelain bowl. I took a bite. Yuck!
???What do you think of your meal grandmother???? I wanted to know what she thought of it.
???I think it is pitiful.??? I knew my old grandmother would say that.
???Grandmother, I have to go back to the tailor store now, bye.???
I picked up my dress skirt so it wouldn???t get dirty and I started walking to the tailor store.

???Good evening Mr. Biloxi.??? I greeted him. ???How is your suit coming along????
???It???s coming along just the way I planned Miss. Parker.???
???That???s good.??? I told him. ???Mrs. Jolin? Where are you???? I said loudly.
???I???m over here deary.??? I looked to where the noise came from.
I walked toward her. I needed to ask her where the next customer was. When I asked, she said that she wasn???t at the store yet.
I sighed. I started gathering the things I needed to help design what Mrs. Jackson needed. She did say she wanted a dress. My eyelids got heavy and closed. The next thing I new, I was surrounded by blackness.

I was in a world that I have never seen before. There were trees with gold coins growing on them. The walls of my bedroom weren???t there. They were replaced by the redwood trees. What kind of dream was this. Was I having a hallucination?
I closed my eyes. When I opened them, I was back in my cottage room. I realized that, when I felt my face, I was dripping sweat.
What???s wrong with me?
I stepped off of my bed and looked in the mirror. Standing before me was a girl with purple eyes and purple hair. Was that really me? Did I have purple hair? The answer was no. When I blinked, the girl was gone and was replaced with me. My blue eyes and curly brown hair was reflected.
I shall not tell my grandmother until it was absolutely necessary, I just hoped that I could take care and cure this insanity. I could tell that this insanity wasn???t going anywhere for a while.
I took one last look at the mirror before I got dressed. I was changing, and not in a good way.

I woke with a jolt. It was just a dream, just a dream. But see, the thing about my dreams are that they tend to almost all be real. I crossed my fingers that I wouldn???t start having hallucinations.
I looked out my window. The sky was still dark but I could tell that the sun was starting to rise because the horizon was a light blue. I climbed out of bed. When I looked in the mirror, the world seemed to spin. It felt as if my world was collapsing and a box was squeezing closer and closer to me. The only other think I knew of was that someone was screaming at the top of their lungs. That???s when everything seemed to stop and when my world was black.






























2.Happenings

I woke to the blinding sun. My grandmother was on the floor by her fast asleep.
???Bye, grandmother. I have to go to work.??? I whispered to my grandmother even though she was asleep.
I got dressed and left immediately for the tailor store.
When I got there, I greeted everyone. ???Hello Mrs. Jackson. I???m so sorry I couldn???t help you yesterday.???
???Oh, it???s ok. I just need the dress by Friday.??? She told me.
???Ok, let???s get to work. First, we are going to confirm what your design is going to be. Then, I will take some measurements and choose the fabric. After that, you go home and I sew. I will have Mrs. Jolin call you when I am ready for your fitting.???
???Ok, that sounds fine to me.??? The evening went on like that. I had to toss out dozens of dress designs until she finally agreed with one. Then I took the measurements and chose the fabric.
