Tellaro is a small coastal town in Italy. According to legend, in the Middle Ages the townspeople were once alerted to (saved from) approaching Saracen pirates by a large octopus that climbed up the tower and pulled on the church tower bell rope. In photos, you can see that the tower is right at the shoreline.
