She is named after an elf in the Witcher series. Toruviel is a member of Scoia'tael, a group of elf commandos fighting against humans. Actually she is one of the leaders.
I've played The Witcher, and The Witcher 2: Assasing of Kings. (The Withcer being the superior game out of the two in my opinion.) I'm also Currently reading the novels. So, why not name a pet after it then, since the name was available.
