ok, ranting

i have seen this frequently in the pets forums; people insulting rofling owners, calling them all greedy and selfish and grouping them together as if they are oh so despicable. wth? you are insulting the owner of the pet you want to trade for, and you think that will make them want to trade with you? really?

if people are offering 80+ mil worth in pets for a rofling consistently, that is what people are going to expect to get. if you think it's unfair, then don't offer. go buy your own rofling potion. i know what i offered to get my roflings, and i'm not trading, but if i did, i'd be looking for similar offers. that's just what they trade for.
just like people who offer r/w or r/n non les on high LEs-- the non le isn't worth a chibs or what have you, but if you have a pet named Jacob or something, a lot of people are going to be after it. essentially, popularity is what prices a pet.

but in several boards i have seen looking for a rofling, i see "if you're GREEDY enough i MIGHT throw in..." or "man, rofling owners are so SELFISH" i doesn't seem as prevalent now as before, but i just saw a board about it again, and it angers me.
not all rofling owners are selfish. there are other reasons people reject your offer that are not based on the worth of it, and that's what a lot of people just assume, as if people with roflings can't legitimately dislike your pet or your pet name? maybe they aren't trading because the rofling was a gift, or maybe they just don't want to trade. people have their reasons. and a lot of them work hard for their pets.

now, don't get me wrong, there are people who are greedy. but, my point, grouping an entire throng of people together, like, "you own a rofling, automatically greedy," gets on my nerves because not everyone is.
yeah, i said something this effect on a trading board one time, and i got flamed to the death, so that's sort of what i am expecting in the comments.
oh well, that's my position on this. tired of rofling owners getting berated. so yeah.
haha i had half a notion to not even post this, but i am putting off doing a study guide, and this was on my mind. so yeah. if comments get crazy, i'll delete.
