This is not fair.

30th Oct 2008 09:34 I have just read a topic where a new member has been politely reinforcing rules.
Unfortunately, this person was then harrassed by at least 2 older members. Their reasons for doing so were;
1. She had gotten one rule wrong.
2. Apparently the topic was 'pointless'.
I find it very saddening that new members who are trying their best to find their way round a new site, and meet friendly members, meet two well-known older members who do their best to make her feel un-welcome.
If the simple mistake was made, then the older members should be there to /kindly/ point out the mistake. Not start a forum-fight, where the forum-starter even asked them to leave. They did not.
Unfortunately, when a player is well-known, people take their side as they don't want to be seen disagreeing with an older member. This means that the new members are put down by many people rallying against them.
I call this Bullying.
And it shouldn't happen.
New members are not sure how to act in forums, so it is acceptable to let them make mistakes and make so-called 'Pointless' topics.
However, this topic about the rules of Mara was not pointless and was well within her rights to post it.
Thanks, just expressing my opinion.
