The Candy Tree is spreading the love again this year for Valentine's Day

He has taken a break from his quests and is rewarding everyone who visits him. All pets can visit him every 30 minutes but any pet wearing a Plushie, Love, Cupid, Valentine, Red, Magenta, Maroon, Pink or Coral Costume can visit every 15 minutes

All of these prizes will retire when this event ends February 28th

The Weapons Shop in Undying Woods has had a major update! As one of the oldest shops, most of the items here were 12-16 years old. We've revamped, updated and/or renamed over 450 weapon items. We hope you like the changes!

The Armour Shop in Jenoa has had all 175 items updated. The majority of these items were between 12 and 16 years old and some of the oldest artwork on the site. We hope you like the improvements!

Fast Food in Slater Park has also had many of the oldest items updated. We hope you like the changes!

The Coffee Shop in Lush Lake is the latest shop to be updated. Most of the items have changed to new art and several of the items have changed names too. If you owned the old items don't worry, you will still have them but their names and artwork have just changed to fit better into the new MaraPets!

A new Plushie Account Upgrade Set has been released

This set is on sale until March 8th and has 7 new Plushie themed items, a Plushie Costume and either a Plushie Enchanted Plushie or Plushie Potion. You can choose if you would like the main prize to be an Enchanted Plushie Plushie or Potion. There is 1 in 3 chance you will receive a limited edition Tasi instead of Bolimo, Feliz, Gonk, Grint, Renat or Xoi.

Just like the Giant Fruit and Giant Vegetables Shop, the Giant Flowers Shop has been removed and their items merged with the Flowers Shop in Puchalla Village. We've updated the artwork for most of the oldest items in both shops and they also have 28 new items on sale. Any goals or avatars that require these removed shops will be changed later this week.

These shops have also moved from Puchalla Village to Gigantic Paradise, taking over the position of the giant shops. We've updated the artwork for most of the oldest items in both shops and they also have 66 new items on sale.

Our 12th Level Game has been released

Maradans flock to Lowlyhood hoping to meet their favourite celebrity. The most popular meeting place is the Happy Hour bar on Lowlyhood Boulevard, known for making the best slushie drinks! It's so popular that reservations are made several months in advance. Lucky for you they are hiring right now. Draw lines to direct the slushie drink being poured into the glass. Draw the shortest possible lines to earn extra stars. You must earn three stars to complete a level.

Happy Hour has 4 Episodes each with 20 levels for you to complete. You can play Happy Hour up to 3 times per day for FREE. Earn 1MP per 1 point. Earn up to the maximum of 2,000MP each play - if you complete a level with MP for its Level reward, you will receive the bonus MP too!


Just like the other level based games, Happy Hour has 20 different Level Reward Prizes. This means that each of the level reward prizes can be won 4 times each - once for each level of each episode. When you earn 3 Stars to complete a level for the first time, you must send score to unlock the next level or it will not be saved. Game resets at 00:00MST.


The main item prizes for this game are retired random Magazines from the Magazine Stand, Ball of Splatter Yarn and 4 Capsule Machine Tokens

Today is the return of regular news updates at MaraPets

2020 was a great year for MaraPets. We started the year with the whole site being mobile, tablet and desktop friendly - a huge project that had taken several years to do! Flash never worked on mobile or tablet devices and was being removed from desktops at the end of 2020, so we started 2020 without our 46 Flash Games.

We ended 2020 with almost every feature on the site upgraded in some way or another. Some highlights of 2020 were the return of MaraUploads as Mara.Pics, our social media presence relaunched, email server upgraded, dolls revamped to a much higher quality and our five year plan to replace our 46 flash games with newer, better games that worked on every device was completed in only 7 months!! Every event we run was bigger and better than ever and there were even several new events like the Palladium Jubilee, our Birthday Party and new weather events.

The end of the year is always busy at MaraPets, with Halloween, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Advent and Elfember one after another. Once those were over, we thought it was time for staff and players to have a break after an overwhelming year of updates on MaraPets. This meant that some stuff that was supposed to be released last year (or earlier this month) were not released on time and we'll be catching up with these first...

The Costume Boutique missed most of the premium restocks this month. It skipped a year ahead and randomised it's restocks for 2022 instead. Ooops! Until midnight today the Winter Costume is on sale. Every day for the rest of this month will have a Standard, Premium or AU Costume on sale. As the month is almost over, it still means that this month will not be able to reach the 4 days of Standard Costumes stocking there.

Our newest Account Upgrades Set is slightly delayed. As there isn't currently any on sale and the page is empty, we have put the last two sets - Origami and Christmas - back on sale for the rest of this month.

Krampus decided to show up for Elfember

Elfember is the season for giving but not every Marapet may deserve to be rewarded. Krampus is back and will be here until January 1st.

High above Biala, in the cold and frozen mountain ranges, lurks the Krampus. Leering down upon the village, he waits every year for his chance to kidnap naughty Marapets! He watches pets all year, keeping a list of the naughty and the nice. As Christmas draws closer and closer, the Krampus reveals himself in the month of December. He offers gifts to especially well behaved Marapets. If you're feeling brave, you can ask him for gifts for your pets. If your pet has been naughty, he might just punish them...


Pets wearing an Advent, Angel, Blitzen, Christmas, Christmas Tree, Elf, Gingerbread, Ice, Polar, Seasonal, Snow, Snowman, Tundra or Winter Costume can visit Krampus every 15 minutes. All other pets can visit every 30 minutes.

A new Christmas Account Upgrade Set has been released

This set is on sale until January 15th and has 7 new Christmas themed items, a Christmas Costume and either a Christmas Enchanted Plushie or Christmas Potion. You can choose if you would like the main prize to be an Enchanted Christmas Plushie or Potion. There is 1 in 3 chance you will receive a restricted Vixen or Chibs instead of Addow, Ideus, Leido, Walee or Zetlian.

Everyone can take part for FREE! You can visit the profile of any player that is currently online, hit the 'Sing Carols' button and you may receive a prize. You can only visit each person once per day and you will receive MP or an item. It will end automatically December 31st and all of these item prizes will retire.

If your character is wearing an approved Carol Singing Outfit listed below, you are guaranteed an item or MP prize at every visit. Players without the costume can still take part, but on average only a quarter of all visits will receive an item! This means that players with an approved outfit will win 4 times more item prizes!

Santa Claws has stopped his normal Quests until January 1st. Instead of rewarding you MP for completing his quest, he will instead give you one entry to his New Years Raffle. The more quests you complete, the more entries you will have. The New Years Raffle will be announced late January.

There will be 100 winners of 1,000,000MP, 3 winners of £25 Account Upgrades Credit, 10 winners of £10 Account Upgrades Credit and 25 winners of £5 Account Upgrades Credit.

We've upgraded our Dress Up Doll feature

We've upgraded the hardware that runs our doll feature, allowing us to create each doll in much higher quality! Wardrobes will now show you a preview of the default doll wearing each item before you try it on your doll. This is the start of many new improvements for dolls coming in 2021. As always, we'd like to thank our Account Upgrade buyers who have helped keep Marapets constantly improving over the past 16 years!

If you have the Missing Wardrobe Giftbox you can now press the 'Check Price' link on any Wardrobe item site-wide and whenever you click on the Wardrobe icon, it will show you a preview of the clothing.
