How losing 5 mil helped me learn something c:

1st Aug 2014 15:41 This blog is really a reminder to myself.
Today in auctions I was trying to snipe a daylight costume for 555k and unknowingly added an extra zero to my bid. At that moment I was frantic and tried to go and move my money to the bank. Unfortunately, I was late and was charged 5.5 mil for a costume that was worth 1.5 mil. I was sad because who wouldnt be? My club members were super lovely and encouraged me to ask the user if they would kindly help me with a partial refund. I did that saying that it was a mistype and explained the situation and waited for this user to respond. Although I hoped they would respond, I told them sorry multiple times and said congratulations if they didnt want to return it. The reply I got in return was " it was fair u won auction u shoulda let others have it if u wasnt interested" and was blocked as well. It clearly stated in their profile that they were an adult user and I was a bit taken aback by such a response. However what I learned is how nice people in the community are. One of the users in club ( probably who doesnt want to be named) sent me 5 mil in a ce which of course I turned down. The users on mara have proven to be amazing and ones that are willing to help for the most part.
I also want to thank i8nine for helping notify me of my mistype and also my club members for their help.
Although it was an expensive and little bit disheartening expertience, I learned a lot.
